Energy Paintings

I’ve always felt spirituality led me to art and painting, therefore, calling my work ‘Spirit Art’ made absolute sense.  It’s been a privilege and honor to have been given this gift.

It’s the energy around me and the energy of people that direct the choices I make when painting.  Whether it is the breath of the wind or the colors of the season, the friends in the room or the clients at my table, the spirit, the energy or whatever you choose to call it, guides me to produce my one-of-a-kind artwork.

Energy Painting

For more than 25 years I’ve shared this beyond the standard paintings I produce.  Energy paintings have been a large part of my relationship with my clients and audience.  I sit with those open to the ideas and information that comes forward to create these personalized pieces.  I’ve made a few recurring clients along the way, met a wide range of personalities, and through the standard conversations taking place in each sitting have gotten to know many people, some have become faithful friends.

Root Chakra

The root chakra, or Muladhara, is located at the base of your spine. It provides you with a base or foundation for life, and it helps you feel grounded and able to withstand challenges. Your root chakra is responsible for your sense of security and stability.

Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra, or Svadhisthana, is located just below your belly button. This chakra is responsible for your sexual and creative energy. It’s also linked to how you relate to your emotions as well as the emotions of others.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The solar plexus chakra, or Manipura, is located in your stomach area. It’s responsible for confidence and self-esteem, as well as helping you feel in control of your life.

An energy painting is the visual realization of your personal energy.  We are all made of energy, atoms racing at an incredible rate combined with the energy of the universe.  The work is inspired by what I feel, your Chakra energies, and the energy vortices in the body, this influences the colors I choose, the amount of water, the brush type and where the color lands on the page.  All this can show the degree of balance in your Chakras and might give you insights into your own personality.

Heart Chakra

The heart chakra, or Anahata, is located near your heart, in the center of your chest. It comes as no surprise that the heart chakra is all about our ability to love and show compassion.

Throat Chakra

The throat chakra, or Vishuddha, is located in your throat. This chakra has to do with our ability to communicate verbally.

Third Eye Chakra

The third eye chakra, or Ajna, is located between your eyes. You can thank this chakra for a strong gut instinct. That’s because the third eye is responsible for intuition. It’s also linked to imagination.

Crown Chakra

The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, is located at the top of your head. Your Sahasrara represents your spiritual connection to yourself, others, and the universe. It also plays a role in your life’s purpose.

This is my favorite part of painting, the colors, the conversation before and after and your reactions and interpretations of what you see.

When the paint is dry, your energy painting is matted and ready to be framed.

Any opportunity to better understand ourselves, whether medically or spiritually is an opportunity to grow.  This was insightful and spot on.
